The type \u2018dynamic\u2019 represent a dynamically typed object. All method-calls are dispatched at runtime and return again a dynamic type. If you assign dynamic-typed objects to static-typed objects it will convert that at runtime. The well-known <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dynamic_Language_Runtime\">DLR (Dynamic Language Runtime)<\/a> is used to implement this. This feature isn\u2019t intended to replace the statically typed system, instead its made for interoperability with other languages like Python, Ruby or services like REST. Of course nothing is completed yet, but there\u2019s no doubt that it will be in the final version. For more in information watch the talk of <a href=\"http:\/\/channel9.msdn.com\/pdc2008\/TL16\/\">Anders Hejlsberg at Channel 9<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/channel9.msdn.com\/pdc2008\/PC54\/\">Miguel de Icaza\u2019s talk about Mono<\/a> is also interesting. Mono has includes already the \u2018compiler as a service\u2019, so this opens the doors for creative solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Also a this <a href=\"http:\/\/channel9.msdn.com\/pdc2008\/TL57\/\">wonderful discussion about the future of programming languages<\/a> is fun to watch. But because it \u2018philosophical\u2019 nature, it doesn\u2019t contain stuff which do matter for the average developer.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/channel9.msdn.com\/shows\/Going+Deep\/Mark-Russinovich-Inside-Windows-7\/\">Mark Russinovich talks about the kernel changes in Windows 7<\/a>. Mostly the improvements are in the scheduler, memory-manger and in the usage of global locks. But those changes don\u2019t have an huge impact on client-systems with only 2-4 CPU-cores. Also there are now \u2018event-triggered-services\u2019, to avoid running unnecessary services.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/channel9.msdn.com\/posts\/Charles\/Inside-Windows-7-Larry-Osterman-on-new-audio-capabilities\/\">Larry Osterman talks about the improvements in the audio-system in windows 7<\/a>. Now there are different roles for different audio-devices. For example a Bluetooth-headset has the communication-role. So the normal speaker backs-off if there&#8217;s a call on the headset.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/channel9.msdn.com\/pdc2008\/PC24\/\">Chaitanya Sareen gives an introduction to the Windows 7 desktop.<\/a> I think the new taskbar is a real improvement. That the first time I\u2019ve heard such words as \u2018delight\u2019 and \u2018smile\u2019 in a Microsoft presentation. Scary! But anyway, I\u2019ll buy Windows 7 for sure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are tons of presentations from the <a href=\"http:\/\/channel9.msdn.com\/pdc2008\/\">PDC available on channel 9<\/a>.
