This is annoying especially if you&#8217;re on some random machine and quickly need SSMS. Now you can go google for it, be confused by the download page, download it, hope you have admin rights and then install it. There is a bit more to it. You need <a href=\"https:\/\/turbo.net\">turbo.net<\/a>. Go there, create an account. Then <a href=\"https:\/\/start.turbo.net\/install\">install <\/a>the client. It needs no admin rights. After the installation, open a command prompt. Now login, then run SSMS2014.<\/p>\n<script src=\"https:\/\/gist.github.com\/139dd705053800d90e02b0d971c6bb98.js?file=login-run-ssms.bat\"><\/script><noscript><pre><code class=\"language-batchfile batchfile\">turbo login &lt;my-user&gt;\nturbo run ssms2014<\/code><\/pre><\/noscript>\n<p>SSMS2014 should start after a short while. Of course, you also can run SSMS2012. By default Turbo.net Apps cannot access anything on your machine. So, the SSMS launched via Turbo.net cannot damage or overwrite any files. That means that when you save a script, it will not show up on you&#8217;re computer. To enable this, you can share a folder. Add you&#8217;re favorite apps onto a list on turbo.net. It also registers file extensions and everything you specified on the website. So you can go from machine to machine and always fetch your apps and you are ready to go.
